Stippling Technique Family Portraits

A client I had created a portrait for a few years ago approached me recently to create 2 family portraits, and requested that they were created using a stippling technique to match with their previous commission.

The photos that were provided to me were special for a couple of reasons. Picture one of his son and daughter was chosen as it reflected their personalities perfectly, and was taken during a recent trip to Brecon Beacons. The second photo was of the client, with his wife and the family dog during a walk at the top of Malvern hills, a place that they love to walk together and was captured during a really beautiful sunset.

The portraits were created using a stippling technique with black and light grey fine liner pens. Each portrait measures at 15cm x 21cm and was created on cold pressed watercolour paper for added depth and texture to the overall artwork.
